Similarly, to the west of the town along the Frankton Rd, there are many resorts and hotels. In this area there are also lots of popular apartment style resorts that are right on the lake front. Arthurs Point is situated to the north of Queenstown on the road towards the Coronet peak Ski resort and here, on the banks of the Shotover River, are a number of other excellent accommodation establishments. The hill to the west of the city centre is also covered with lots of accommodation choices that command fantastic views over the lake and the surrounding mountain ranges.
